I previously worked in the aviation industry, where I was involved in the training and examining of pilots. I found myself naturally drawn to the human side of my role, discovering that sitting and really listening could make a significant difference.
This experience showed me the importance of creating a space where someone can be seen, heard and understood.
My interest in supporting others extended beyond my role in aviation, and I’ve spent several years providing emotional support to people experiencing various life challenges.
I made the decision to retire early to pursue this career, completing professional training in psychodynamic counselling.
I maintain regular professional development to ensure I can provide the best possible support to my clients, and I work within the BACP's ethical framework. My practice is fully insured and supervised, providing you with the assurance of working with a qualified, experienced professional.
I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation. It is an opportunity for you to tell me a little bit about what is going on for you at the moment and for me to let you know something about me. This is followed by an initial session, with the aim being to see if it might feel helpful for us to move forward together.
The best way to get started is to email me or use the contact form. I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours during working days.
